Without question, there are many organizations that are
currently operating all over Kentucky addressing the issue of
under-age drinking in their own communities and areas of the
state.
Their mission is admirable. Their programs are meaningful.
The results of their efforts are undeniable. Yet, each year many
of these organizations struggle to accomplish their goals
because of limited resources.
Every year, the Malt Beverage Education Corporation will
consider applications from various existing youth, civic,
religious, school, and rehabilitation programs across the
Commonwealth. If these groups are well-organized, well-managed,
productive, meaningful in their communities, performing a vital
civic and educational function and meet the criteria set forth
by the Board of Directors, then they will receive a "grant" from
the Malt Beverage Education Corporation to monetarily support
their respective endeavors.
